Journey Jiu Jitsu LLC ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our students and prospective students. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you interact with us through our website, opt-in forms, and phone calls.
1. Information We Collect
When you opt in to receive information, schedule an appointment, or call us, we may collect the following personal information:
- First and/or last name
- Email address
- Mobile phone number
We may collect your phone number if you call us, especially for follow-up purposes. Additionally, if you request an automated text message with links or resources through our IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system, we may collect and store your number temporarily to send the requested information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information primarily to communicate with you and schedule an in-person information meeting. Specifically, we may use your information to:
- Send automated and manual text messages and emails to follow up and encourage scheduling of an information meeting
- Send reminders for scheduled meetings
- Respond to direct inquiries and send requested resources or links if requested via our IVR system
3. Opting Out
You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying "STOP" to any text message. Each email we send also includes an "unsubscribe" link at the bottom, allowing you to opt out of further email communications.
4. Data Security
We are committed to keeping your personal information secure. Your data is stored in a secure Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, which only authorized staff members can access. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. If you wish to request deletion of your information, please contact us as outlined below.
6. Children's Privacy and Use of Minors' Information
Our services are available to minors under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. When parents or guardians submit their information to inquire about classes, we may request details about their children (such as names and ages) during the in-person informational meeting. This information is used solely for administrative purposes, including setting up waivers and creating membership programs. All contractual agreements and waivers must be signed by the parent or legal guardian on behalf of any minor under the age of 18.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13 without proper consent, we will promptly delete that information. Parents or guardians can contact us with any concerns regarding their child's data.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, update, or request deletion of your personal information at any time. To make such a request, please contact us at the information below.
8. Tracking and Advertising
We use tracking tools — including the Meta (Facebook) Conversions API and first-party browser identifiers (_fbp and _fbc) — to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to deliver more relevant ads. Conversion events (such as form submissions and scheduled appointments) include hashed personal information (email, phone, name) and are transmitted server-side through our analytics provider (RudderStack) to Meta Platforms, Inc. for advertising measurement and audience matching.
We do not sell your personal information. You may opt out of Meta personalized advertising at facebook.com/adpreferences/ad_settings. To request deletion of data we hold, see Section 7.
9. Links to Other Websites
Our website may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these external sites. We encourage users to read the privacy policies of any linked websites they visit.
